In NYC, I run through Riverside Park - it runs a long way along the Hudson, so plenty of space.  In NOLA, I ususally go around my neighborhood.  I'm usually on the road the whole time.  All four sides have moderate to moderately heavy traffic, but three sides of the neighborhood have levees or the lake on one side of the road so traffic can only turn one way.  I have to be mindful of traffic, but people are pretty friendly about it.

I leave my house and run around a nearby lake. I don't usually drive somewhere to run unless I'm on my way home from work
Its it quiet traffic wise?

there's a sidewalk for most of it. Otherwise there's a decent bike path

I weighed myself this morning and was 177.  I'd like to be 160 by the time I get to my marathon, which would be a loss of about 60lb from my highest weight a few years ago

3 miles tonight in the humidity and gross.  It's only 79 but yuck anyways.  Also the first time in more than a month that we've had rain.

This morning's 5 mile run was pretty gross.  I had to pee the whole time and it is hot and humid and I was totally in excuse mode.  Tomorrow's run will be better.  SportTracks thinks I started my run with a 180 foot downhill in the first two minutes.  I have my doubts, but I'm not a GPS, so maybe it's right.  It also says my house is 110 feet lower than when I left.  I didn't feel anything, but I'll ask my wife.

9:13 (150 bpm)
9:48 (163 bpm)
10:03 (161 bpm)
10:57 (HA!) (162 bpm)
9:10 (175 bpm)

Lifted yesterday, going to to try and start doing that again twice a week, probably on Sundays and Tuesdays.  Just light stuff and enough to not look like I did in high school which appears to be the norm for distance runners.  I did bench press, pullups, tricep pullovers, planks, bicep curls, and rode 5 miles on the stationary bike.  I'm going to start looking for a more regimented approach because I do a lot better with that.

Today was 6 miles, sore as heck from the gym (first time at the gym in 3 months, lol).

I skipped my 3 miles on Thursday because the lifting from Sunday really messed me up throughout the week.  Going to keep the crosstraining days to things besides that, probably a lot more stretching
