Passion has everything to do with it. You can throw the ball good, but you will never be a good quarterback if you're not a good leader. You will never be a good leader in the NFL without passion for the game - especially in a sports town like Chicago.
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Barry Sanders used to just hand the ball to the ref after he scored a TD.  Does that means he lacked passion and wasn't a good leader?

Cutler was walking into a situation last year with a very established locker room, led by guys like Urlacher and Kreutz.  I don't blame him for not being that outspoken.

The Lions are picked by a lot of "experts" to possibly be a wild card team this year.  I don't know that they're quite there yet but they are on the way up.

I thought they were legally required to be the retarded kid of the NFL...

Still, 48 to 3 is a killing no matter what.

Broncos win! Broncos win! Broncos win!

Now just need to wait another year for their next victory, hopefully with Andrew Luck as their QB.

Before the season started I made a joke that Harbaugh was going to make the 49ers tank this year to get Luck. I figured he'd win the two games against Carroll for the "what's your deal" thing and lose the other 14. His decision to take the 3 points from a made field goal instead of the 15 yards and a first down at the 22 yard line with 11 minutes to go in the fourth quarter already leading by 7 points could only have been a ploy to accomplish that.

I agree that probably wasn't the best decision, but I don't fault him either.   The idea of not taking points off the board is an old rule that most coaches still follow even if it doesn't make as much sense now that teams are scoring so much.  If he had taken the penalty, had an interception, fumble or missed FG to end the drive and the Cowboys came back to tie the game, he would be just as ridiculed.

I don't think he would be as ridiculed. I also don't remember this old rule. I don't think it matters whether he would be just as ridiculed either, because ridiculers can be stupid. The question was whether it was the right move, and I can't see any good reason to say that it was.

I ran this weekend's Lions-Vikings game through on renowned NFL simulator Madden 12 tonight and the Lions will win on Sunday 49-3.  Matt Stafford will throw for almost 500 yards and 6 TDs

edit: McNabb will be sacked approximately a thousand times
