Car cleaning - knock knock mr Knuck
« on: August 23, 2018, 11:29:49 AM »
A few years ago when we talked about it last I took knucks recommendations and purchased some car maintenance products. I used them on the old car, but never on the truck. Knuck, you would be proud of me, as over the last two days I got rid of the baked on bugs, washed and clay bared the entire truck and finished her off with optiseal. Now a final question for you, what is the best thing to use on chrome pieces?
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Good man.  What do you mean?  Good to clean with or protect with?

If you mean protect, I have moved on from waxes and sealants to coatings.  Tested and found them to be in every way superior.

I use McKees.

I find that the paint coating works very well on chrome, wheels, glass, plastics, and of course paint.  Prep is king, but man this stuff is good for a solid year.  Easy to use and afterwords I use their car wash soap with a foam gun and cleaning is a snap.
