PRS, what do you think?

It's a guitar at a local shop I hang out at from time to time. I haven't played it yet but it looks nice. I like the burst finish and the birdseye neck is very pretty. Not sure if I miss having the bird inlay on the neck or not. I'm going to go play it this weekend I think.
There's another shop nearby that's a big PRS dealer too. I'm going to see what they have tomorrow.

The birdseye neck is indeed very pretty.

I've always wanted a PRS, but the ones I find in stores are always $3000 - $4000. That seems like a low price. 24 fret would be nice, but if it plays well, i wouldn't let that stop you from buying it. Its all about the feel :cool2:

Well, I just stopped at a dealer on my way back from swimming tonight. They usually have a pretty good selection. They had a brand new swamp ash special, so I played it for a bit. I must say I am much more comfortable playing acoustics now but when I've got a nice amp I still know some nice chords. I liked the sound of the guitar. The extra pickup is nice to have and being able to split the coils gives the guitar nice flexibility. I'm going to try and make it out to Willie's pretty soon here and take a look at the used one they have. As for the 24 frets, I'll never play up that high any more so I don't need them. It would be nice to have the fixed bridge but taking the tremolo bar off is easy (and it's not a floyd rose). I like the look of the used one better but we'll have to see what kind of deal I could get on it and how bad the wear is on it. But for almost a grand cheaper than the new one it's probably worth it.

(I'm anti-Gibson now)

Gibsons rule - period!

OK, so what do you guys think of this one?

Same shop as the Swamp Ash above. This one is more spendy though. I'm curious to hear how the piezo sounds.
Might be a better blend for my guitar skills now.

Now thats a sexy PRS if i've ever seen one. I've always loved the bird inlay too.

How spendy are we talking here?
