CAPTCHA
« on: July 15, 2011, 01:43:29 PM »
Why?  Why can't people do it in a more intelligent way?  I fucking hate trying to figure these damn things out.

I've completely moved away from this method and instead ask a simple math question.  So much easier and accomplishes the same task.

i've also noticed some are fairly easy to read where some are hard as hell.

think i've only seen 1 site that had a math equation - i'm ashamed to admit that i used a calculator (it was add/subtract but it was about 5 different numbers)

Wouldn't that be pretty easy to defeat?

Unless the bot can read the source and figure out the math... which I guess is possible.  I plan to test the theory on a new site.  They still have to confirm an email to get in as well.

They already have bots that can do that.  It's called a calculator :D

CAPTCHA has been defeated.  Not by bots but by armies of poorly paid Indians.

If they can read the source it can't be that hard to do the math...
