Title: Slaughterhouse 5
Post by: Betazep on June 22, 2006, 11:16:43 PM
So I am reading another Kurt Vonnegut book.  It is pretty good thus far.

I recently finished Cat's Cradle.  That book was amazing.

Yeah, I liked Slaughterhouse Five. "So it goes."

I guess I should read Cat's Cradle.

Ugh, I had to write a paper on Vonnegut for a class a year or two ago. Weird.

Betazep, you're a little late for the book club.

>>Cat's Cradle<<

Ice9? "It's all a pack of foma, it's all a pack of lies"? Wampeters, foma and granfaloons?

If so, very good. I've always liked Vonnegut, well his earlier stuff anyway. His later books were too dull and introspective for me.

I adore Cat's Cradle. Slaughterhouse Five and Sirens of Titan are also fantastic; I picked up Sirens of Titan on a whim once, and to this day it's one of my favorite books, even among the rest of his canon.

I'll agree on the later books, though. Timequake was interesting for what it was, but...eh.
