Hmm France vs Italy.  I wonder who will surrender first?

el oh el!  You should totally let Fark know you made a "France surrenders!" joke outside of their friendly confines!

Anyone catch Germany v Portugal tonight? I missed it myself so had to make do with reading about it. :( Seems Germany did okay and without Ballack.

In other news, it seems Rooney was red-carded for nad-mashing and has been banned for two games.

And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?.

Zidane the Bull decided to end his career with a bang, but it didn't affect the outcome of the game.

I happened to be in Berlin, so I watched it on Brandenburger Tor. The English fans were happiest, though.

Well, Einstein here didn't check the time for the final so missed the first half. :(

>>Zidane<<

Great footballer; shame really. But I agree: from what I saw of the game it was heading towards the disappointment of penalties from about 15 minutes into the second half. For me, I think that Ribery has been the player of the tournament; he's been outstanding.

Congratulations to Italy; any other result for them might have cast the shadow of match fixing over them.

I'd really like to know what the hell he was thinking when he did that.
