Title: espresso
Post by: Jake on May 17, 2019, 10:22:57 AM
Few weeks back we got a relatively inexpensive  espresso maker  (https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Coffee-Barista-Espresso-Cappuccino/dp/B007K9OIMU) - if I remember correctly it was $140 on woot. Anyway, this thing rocks - it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more expensive machines, but it brews a great cup. But the post isn't about the maker it self, it is about the coffee. Through these weeks we went to probably 10 different espresso specific coffee blends, and we finally found the perfect one. If you have an espresso machine, try  Lavazza Cafe Espresso (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J2L6Q1U) - it is absolutely fucking awesome. Smooth but with enough kick. It is great!

I also have an inexpensive-ish espresso maker. Mine has a built-in milk frother which is nice (as in, you just fill the container with milk and it makes espresso, cappucino, latte for you. You don't have to manually froth).

I've had Lavazza. it's great coffee, but if you're looking for pre-ground espresso coffee try Illy (https://www.amazon.com/Illy-illy-Coffee/dp/B07RS58JYQ/ref=pd_sbs_325_1/140-9033169-9083647?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07QNRGNQ7&pd_rd_r=835789f0-78b0-11e9-b695-87acaaaa01ea&pd_rd_w=rsb2F&pd_rd_wg=FWaQo&pf_rd_p=588939de-d3f8-42f1-a3d8-d556eae5797d&pf_rd_r=F1KN7KCTA1X95D2AX6FM&refRID=F1KN7KCTA1X95D2AX6FM&th=1). I find it has a much finer grind and works better in the espresso machine.
