does the background "flicker" for anyone else? Maybe its just me, if so i gotta fix it cause im really irritated by it

It does it when I scroll because the variegated background bumps up.

it has something to do with your monitor resolution or scan rate or something...

my old monitor used to do that constantly on various websites that had similar backgrounds.

You must be set at or near 60hz with a CRT!  LOL

No idea why an LCD would flicker.

i have a high def lcd set at 1680 x 1050 @ 50hz. i never bothered to look at those settings before, but ubuntu doesnt offer me any other options. I have a 880GTS 512MB so i should check the nvidia panel see if i can override it
