my top score is over 16,000 but I still haven't won.  Most games I end up with a 1024 but, at best, I've only had a 512 or two that I couldn't combine with it before capping out.

Finally got to 2048 (finished with 23292) and thought I'd be done with it. But I still played two more times since then.

I have to admit I got lucky with my 2048. I was seriously struggling at the end, but then abandoned the Beta principles just to link 64-64-128-256-512-1024 to win.

I played on the web site yesterday and got over 36k. The website also has a button to continue after you hit 2048. I was sooooo close to 4096...

I can consistently hit 2048 and then on my way up I make a silly mistake which costs me in the long run.

I have now added it to my list of time wasters saved on my google chrome apps page along with Bejewelled and this other game I'd never heard of but that has turned out to be fairly addicting as well:
