Title: Bye Bye eXactNat
Post by: KnuckleBuckett on February 17, 2007, 05:45:07 PM
Just got a new mouse pad.  It replaced my old gaming pad by Razer.

I picked up a Steel QcK+

It is soft kinda thin and about the size of a good big VCR.

I likes it. Fast, accurate, and works really well with my optical mouse (Logitech G5).

The new pad is much more comfortable, but I expect will last less time due to being soft and hard to clean.

Oh.  I wore through the slipery stuff on my other pad.

I use trackballs. No need for a mouse pad in quite some time.

Part of the reason I moved to a trackball.

Do you game with a trackball?  I never could get used to those.

Did you steal the pad from work like you did the mouse?   ;)

I would never steel from work!

Ever.  They treat us SO well NOBODY would.

No.

I purchased it.

It is SO much easier on my wrist at the edge of the pad.  The aluminum edge always beat the hell out of my wrist.  Does that ever get to you?

Yeah.

Give us the low down on the trackball.

Which one?  Advantages disadvantages?

Ober Sparky used one for years.

The original idea was to use the trackball in my yet to be built MAME system (a couple years ago). So I bought the cheap logitech marble mouse. Now I use the trackman. I don't do a lot of PC gaming, I'm a console man. The marble mouse is not a very good trackwheel though. It's sort of awkward to get used to. I really like the trackman though since it feels like a regular mouse and you use your thumb to move. My boss uses a M$ one that the ball in on the other side so you use one of you other fingers but I like the thumb better. Lately though my index finger has started to get sort of cramped feeling so I'm thinking of moving trying a Kensington mouse instead.
