Anyone know the best PC-based baseball game?

Assuming you're talking about a game where you actually control the players instead of a management sim, your only option is MLB 2K10.  I've got it for the 360 and it's alright, but I'm pretty sure the PC version is gimped.  The only really good current gen game out there right now is The Show, and that's exclusive to Sony platforms.

If you don't mind older graphics, you could get MVP 05 for the PC, which has been faithfully modded and updated by the community with graphics patches and newer rosters and stuff.  It was a great game, but obviously a modded 5 year old game is going to be a little different than a new one.

Yeah, I don't want to manage... just play.  And what do you mean by "the PC version is gimped"?  Not really interested in an 05 level game.

I think Madden has done similar things in the past - when you're playing the PC version it's not like the 360/PS3 version.  Features are missing, graphics are worse, etc., almost as if it were a PS2 game.  I haven't checked but that's just what I've heard.  If you really want PC baseball I'm pretty sure that's your only option regardless.

The My Player feature is pretty fun, but mostly if you're a pitcher.  If you're a position player it's really hard to move up.
