There has been talk about this in other threads, but I think we need to bring it all together.
My thoughts on admins are that it should be someone that is a) around often, b) knowledgable on web design/layout and c) really wants to do it. I see the admin job as a big responsibility, being available to do backups, fix database problems, and pretty much cure cancer if it comes down to that.
As far as moderators, I don't really care. I can make all the main regulars mods of something if you really want. Or whatever we decide.
However, I'm not a fan of "rotating modship", as that requires more time on the part of the admins to update all that information, and I don't want people thinking that their "powers were cut off shorter than someone else's" or any kind of bullshit like that. Let's keep this as easy and friendly as we can for everyone. If someone really wants to be a mod, and they're not down the road, we can consider that on a case-by-case basis, but I don't like this floating idea.
All that being said, I'd like to nominate Thantos for admin (because he's already helping me and he needs access to a variety of admin panels) and a variety of others for modship including Cheez, DK, Fitlike, -Ken-, and RobR.
As I've said before, I want this to be a community-run board.
