The Revenant

What can I say about this movie........you need to see it! and see it at a theater. The cinematography is out of this world. Nature plays a huge part in the movie and you can feel it. It consumes you. I absolutely loved this movie. Leonardo, as expected, did well in this role - so did Tom Hardy. Very believable.

This is a nice comparison to the Hateful 8. Quentin felt he needed the use of the panoramic camera to get the feeling of the wide open spaces - however, I think that it was done with a much better effect in the Revenant without special cameras.

10/10
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Solid movie.  Kept the action going.  Kind of Mad Max survival back in the day with weird foggy flashbacks and chicks hanging from cables.

8/10

Minor Spoiler Below!

The bear is worth a couple of points all by itself.
