I put on my shoes and I go outside. Sometimes I stay inside. The first step is the hardest.
During the week, I either get up at 5 and go or I go right after work. Now that it'll be lighter out later, I'll probably do some runs after Sammy goes to bed at 8:30 or so. On the weekends, I usually run longer so I either get up early (try to be out the door no later than 5:30 or 6, depending on light) or I go during Sammy's nap. For easy runs, I'm going to start taking him the stroller a little more. He seems to like it. I don't really do a lot besides run. I hardly watch TV, I don't play video games, and I don't go out to bars or anything. Part of that is just because I have a two year old, and a lot of it is just because I don't feel like it.
Right now the only races I'm signed up for are a non-serious 5K
this Friday, my target
half marathon in June, a
running festival where I'll be doing the half, 5K, and two 5 milers (but mostly I'll be drinking beer and cheering for people and partying), and the
Grand Rapids Marathon in October.
Hoping to break 23 minutes in my 5K this week, 1:45 in the Dexter Half, and 4 hours at the GR marathon.
