Pink Videos
« on: March 02, 2007, 09:34:31 PM »
Hi,

I was watching a trailer the other day (quicktime) and the video had a pink tint.  So I opened up one of my .avi movies I have, and it was pink too!  I tested one that was fine on my old computer, and it indeed was pink too.

I updated the drivers, rebooted and it was fine.  I went to view a movie today, and its pink again!

Suggestions?

Thanks

Canuck

Figured it out!

I changed some settings and rebooted, the videos were fine.  I played CS (I usually play it in a window, not full screen), went to watch a video after, and they are pink!

But why?

It has been a while, but the occasional video game would sometimes affect global video settings after closing the game.  Usually number of colors and or resolution.  Hated that crap.

Sounds like a driver bug. CS must set some type of global processing to the video buffer that doesn't get turned off after the game quites.

You could check for a CS update.

I got the latest driver update, and steam hasnt had any updates..

My friend has a Dell laptop and the video turned blue for him (after playing CS), so it must be something with Nvidia drivers..
