Linux Device Drivers

So i've never developed any device drivers before. I want to learn how to create drivers for the linux kernel. Where should i start? Got any links you'd recommend?

I seem to remember http://m.linuxjournal.com/article/4786 being an interesting read.

Also IIRC there are a few a few articles on http://linuxgazette.net/ that are worth reading.
