This is probably going to be a pretty big deal I think. They even have a section on running wordpress under the PHP section. I wonder how many blogs are going to get ported in the next 48hrs.

mind blowing coincidence that I was just researching the app engine and noticing that PHP support was experimental. I mean, I literally still have that tab open in my browser.  What are the odds that you'd post that?  weird...
