True, and to be honest I don't really care about people starting early anyways.  I think the real reason I liked the idea of not knowing the items until the last second was to keep the excitement and unpredictability of a real scavenger hunt instead of allowing multiple days ahead of time to think about what I would do.  That and the variety issue I mentioned before.

AFAIK no one has said anything about it being about who can get it the fastest.

Format we are going with

Proposed format:  10-20 items but non-specific (i.e. no bob dole campaign pin) so that artistic interpretation can be done.  Hunt begins 0000 March 1 and ends 2359:59 March 31 (local time).  Afterwards we vote on who had the best picture for each item.  Whoever get's the most votes wins.  In the event of a tie we vote on who had the best overall album.

Though the subjects will be left up to Govt to announce.  Govt, maybe make your post on the 29th?

We'll see, but I don't have a camera except my iPod, I don't take pictures, I don't upload pictures, and so on and so forth. You know me, I love participating in any competition, so I might try, but I'm just being honest.

Also, cheez, I will only pick subjects if your stork arrives too early for you to do it.

Was thinking about the voting at the end.  What do you all think about ranking each entry instead of voting for the best?  Top three spots get say 5, 3, 1pt.  Then whoever has the most at the end wins?  I'd just hate to see someone get the second best picture in each category but lose to someone that only had a few good photos.
