Proof that the show is good:
Quote
CSI has been ranked as among the worst prime-time shows for family viewing by the Parents Television Council nearly every season since its second,[38][39][40][41] being ranked the worst show for family prime-time viewing after the 2002–2003[42] and 2005–2006[43] seasons.

Well the writers also suck for Miami.  My brother was telling me about an eposide in which fucktard was behind a sniper rifle waiting to take out the bad guy.  Seriously, WTF?

The shows already strecth what most CSIs do to begin with.  But shit like that is just taking it too far.

yeah, but horatio is not a csi he is a police lieutenant.

As RoD said he isn't assigned to that part of the department.  And lets say he was just a regular cop, how many LTs do you think would behind the rifle?  At that point you are suppose to be leading and not pulling the trigger yourself.

Also from what I remember of the show it was the most "drama" oriented of the three.  They scaled back a bit with NY and LV introduced a bit with Gil/Sarah.

Yea NY doesn't have much drama aside from stella's short thing with killing her ex and the danny/montana stuff.

As for ranks as a sgt or higher you can actually land a serious suspension and pay dock in most departments for putting yourself in the situation to shoot that rifle.

NY had drama with Mac and his stalker and romantic interests.  Those were kinda annoying

Yesterday's CSI was really good. Anyone else catch it? I think he is fitting in quite well - looks like the stories will get back to basics; I think it is a good strategy when you're left with only half of the original cast.

Yeah I watched it.  He seemed to pull off the determined FNG well.  I still can't remember that chick's name though (the one that came in after Warrick).

The timeline seemed to be off in the story though.  One would think it'd take at least a month for the good Dr to quit teaching, apply for the position, get it, and go through his training.  But they are just now finishing clearing out Grissom's office?
