Think I would dig it?  Everybody has been pushing this the last couple days.

I was actually told away from it.  The term used was "trash tv"

I would not consider this 'trash tv'.  It's a documentary of sorts.  Yes, all of the people in it are trash but it's so mind boggling crazy that the entertainment value is quite high.  Knuck, I think you'd get a kick out of it.  There is some definite real shit that happens and there are serious parts of it and real people's lives are involved.  I don't know.  The meme game is strong around this show.

I've heard so many people recommend this.  Even my girlfriend started watching it yesterday.
Not sure if it looks all that appealing to me.

We tried it last night. It is mildly funny, but we couldn't get through the first episode. We fell asleep. But I am willing to give it one more shot - perhaps it gets better. But so far I think there is so much more better TV out there that this seems like a waste of time akin to watching something like the Kardashians.

Wow.  It's literally one of the top most popular items on Netflix.  The drama and other stuff that happens makes it all worth it.  It's not all hilarity and whatnot but how it all unfolds is at least interesting.

I think that is part of the allure - people see it as popular so they think they need to see it.

Trust me, I do not like most of the 'critically acclaimed' bullshit out there.  I almost always disagree with what wins awards and shit.  If nothing else there is an interesting story here about a sub-culture in our country.  If you've listened to any of the popular podcasts that were series from NPR (S-Town, Serial), you will find this interesting.

Popular doesn't indicate quality or how likely I am to enjoy it.

We gave this another chance after Ben's "serial" comparison - and I have to say it is getting more interesting - especially episode 3, we didn't get through the whole episode yet, but I can say we will continue watching.

I started watching it this week too. It's definitely not high brow TV, but it's definitely very interesting to see this realm of living. I wasn't sure it had enough to keep me interested after the first episode, but I needed some more non-virus drama in my life.
