Any of you play any specific baseball video game? The latest thing from EA is MVP Baseball 2005... apparently they don't release a new one very often.
Thoughts?

EA lost the MLB license last year, which is why they released that piece of shit college baseball game that sold one copy (to me, coincidentally).
There are mods to bring the rosters and stuff up to date in MVP 05 - they work ok, but my game is more crashy now.
Unless you have a PS3 or 360 that's probably the best choice, honestly. The new versions for the PS2 and XBox are really just roster updates - all the new development went into the next-gen consoles. I'm still pissed they didn't release one for the Wii. That would have been the greatest game ever.

How bad are the crashes? Does it happen often and does it force you to save more often because of it?
-
Nah, I've never had any ingame problems - sometimes it just would crash when I'd try to start the game. There was something specific that caused it, but I haven't played it in awhile, so I've forgotten
-
Do you have a link to the patches to update the rosters?

Like you have the time anyway.

I can't find the specific one I got, but check out mvpmods.com. That's where I got it from I know that much.

I'd have more time to hop in and out of a game like that than I would BF2... things are loosening up since Sophie is going to bed earlier. :)
