I've been watching the olympic trials and it got me thinking about doing some research to see if some of my old swimming records still stand. The pinnacle of my swimming career probably happened when I was 12 and broke 5 for 5 state YMCA records for Minnesota. I also broke a regional record that year but it got bested the following year.
So I found my old teams website and checked the results from this year and found out I still own 3 of the records I set back in 1992. Not too bad. I'm a little bit surprised they've lasted so long.
Watching the Olympics almost makes me want to get serious about swimming again and start doing masters competitions. But then I think about all the practicing that would require and that fades quickly.
Anyways, enough bragging and history living. Time to get back to reality.

Set the school record for 2 mile relay. Second best in school history in discus. Kind of boring stats compared to TGM.

I have a relay record in discus from high school.
Also..tgm, I know this guy (http://www.usaswimming.org/USASWeb/DesktopModules/BioView.aspx?personid=5dd273b3-21c7-4e5e-b55d-a02e79cd0657&TabId=388&Mid=597). He'll be swimming in the Olympic Trials this weekend.

I was looking at his times and wasn't all that impressed until I started reading his really long distance times. Looks like the guy can just keep going forever at the same pace. I'm dead after about 100yd.
