Title: I want to network 3 computers, two Xp's and one windows 2000
Post by: A Bit of Fruit on August 05, 2010, 04:13:09 AM
Is this possible? It's at work, a network already exists between them, they all have access to the LAN but only the server has access to the internet, its all fucked up with ip's manually assigned (when I select obtain automatically it goes to zero network access) so I figured I would start from scratch again. Any ideas as to where I start?

How do you connect to the internet? Is it a standard ADSL/Cable modem? If so does it have a router and DHCP?

Then the modem has its own IP? If so setup the IPs of the PCs as you like and set the DNS server and gateway to the router/ADSL
