Don't start a program if you're not going to do the program

With week two coming to a close i can definitely feel a difference. My reps on everything have more than doubled, and i have lost about 10 pounds on a pretty normal eating diet for me. My upper body has tightened up quite a bit, as has my lower half. The weight still shows on me, moreso now as my body begins to cut but it has definitely reduced.

all in all i feel very good and more energy for sure. Excited for BJJ tomorrow and I don;t have school next week so thinking bout going to Krav Tues and Thurs

So yesterday I had my physical for Alaska. A local doctor here had to sign off saying the test they will give me in AK won't kill me lol. Anyway i weighed in at 201LBS with all my crap off. I was shocked, because it means on p90X i GAINED weight. The doctor laughed at me and pointed out a few places on my body that were obvious muscle (my legs, upper body) and asked how they were before.

Told me people expect to loose weight with p90X but can actually gain it if they don't do a very agressive diet change because muscle is heavier than fat, which i honestly didn't know.

Time to get agressive, i need to loose about 20 pounds.

Its the appearance of how the weight presents I'm worried about. In other words I'm 6'1 and 26 years old, so in good shape I should not be 200lbs. And if I am, it should clearly be muscle, but it isn't. I still have some of a gut, not bad, but I have the love handles still. So while my body is dropping most of the flab, some is still there and my weights going up.

So to a recruiter or police chief it will appear that my 200lbs is overweight due to my love handles.

I'm 6'3" and I'm 201, so yeah, you could probably lose some weight.  Lord knows I have some love handles and a small gut.  The Wii Fit tells me I should be 177, but I've got a wide frame.  I'm shooting for 190.  I was 185 in high school and when my baseball coach went around the team telling people to either gain or lose weight, he told me I didn't have to do anything.  And I was a full inch or more shorter then.

I was always between 170-180, and in the summer i was 185. The winter has been hard on me because i can't ride my bike and walk as often. My typical schedule is to wake up, feed the dogs then we take them for a walk. Usually its 2-3 miles, everyday. Then almost everyday we rode our bikes 3-5 miles. Plus hiking and everything else.

Now its wake up, do p90x, walk the dogs about 1-1.5 miles if its ok out, and then come home.

Right now i have CUT all pop, instead of just having some. I have cut all caffeine as of a few weeks ago. I'm eating healthy meals three times a day, and drinking a ton of water. Anyone have any advice on loosing about 20 pounds quickly? Real advice, not the short cuts and pills.

The Wii Fit tells me I should be 177
The BMI is such bullshit that it should be a crime to propagate it.

I'm 6'0" and am shooting to get down to 200-210.  The 160ish range that BMI would put me at would be seriously underweight for my body.

287, started off at 300 when I started Aikido.  Second week into really fixing my diet.  So yeah, I've got years of work ahead of me.

cut all "fast carbs" from your diet.  not just soda ("pop").  eat only slow carbs...  google slow carb diet.
