finished the stair project. That was a lot of fucking work. and waiting too. first for the stain to dry, and then the polyurethane - twice. But it is done!

main fabrication of the bed is completed. I really enjoy wood working, I don't know if I said that lately. If I had some balls I would start my own business....anyway, this took about 8 hours. I still have to raise the end table, make handles for the drawers, and do some touch up paint and overall cleaning (ass the pictures will show :p ). Overall I rose the bed just under 5 inches. I wanted to go higher, but I'm buying a new mattress, that is about twice as high as the current one we have, and that will be high enough. Sucked lugging that frame around by myself.....but, another one down!

and btw, the reason I was able to do this so quick is because I was repurposing drawers I saved from an old dresser. They worked out quite well after slight modifications. Otherwise, the drawers alone would take me like 8 hours.

Wood working is a skill my grandfather had and one I wish I had but I am terrible at measuring and cutting and all that so I gave up long ago. His shop had so many machines, and it was just his retirement hobby. He could make anything and made it look easy. My brother in law, sisters husband, is really good as it also.

So jealous of you guys.
