Reparitioning software
« on: September 08, 2006, 11:10:39 PM »
So, I've got this new laptop for work that's got a big monster hard drive in it and I was thinking about doing a multi boot setup on it and maybe doing a bit work in Unix world (at least try and do the majority of my development and daily activities there. So I needed a partition tool and was having trouble finding any alternatives to PartitionMagic. Then I stumbled upon GParted (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/). So I tested it out on my old laptop. I defragged the drive and ran the LiveCD version of the tool and within a few minutes I had an extra partition just ready for some flavor of Unix/Linux.
So now I need to defrag my new baby and get it ready for a change.

So, if you're looking a good partitioning tool, I highly recommend GParted.
