Journey

honesty
within the heart –

lucidity
within the mind –

understanding
within the soul:

madness on
paper as
seen by the
world.
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

This seems related to Pre Poet...?

If so, it seems that some sort of axiomatic construct is forming. I enjoyed the correspondence between 'honesty', 'lucidy', 'understanding' and 'madness' on the one hand and 'heart', 'mind', 'soul' and 'paper' on the other.

Terse but self-conscious. Reads a bit like a cook book recipe, too.
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?.

Thhanks guys. Actually what I was going for here is a formula for poetry. Granted it isn't an easy formula, but it is what I believe must be done in order to write poetry (the first three stanzas).

It is. Both were written based on some six pages of stream of conciousness prose from my journal.
