Gmail 2.0
« on: November 01, 2007, 06:49:39 PM »
Wasn't sure where to post this.

I read an article on /. yesterday about Gmail 2.0. I am currently using the new version, now sure how they choose who gets access to it. It seems a little slower, others say it is faster.. besides the contact list, I dont see much difference.

Anyone else have access to it?

A link to some screenshots.

//Edit: Appears only firefox recognizes the new version...

It just turned itself on for me tonight, haven't notice too much difference...the backcolor of status messages is now a strange yellow color rather than the red I'm used to (eg: messages have been archived).

Their is one annoyance I've found so far, they seem to have removed the standard no chat version...I hate the chat box. I can minimize it and stay signed out, but I just don't want it. Guess I'm stubborn.  :dunno:

I have been logged into another person's inbox, twice. I see my contacts in the chat menu, but all the emails, labels etc are not mine. There is an error in yellow at the top with a time it will take to refresh. If I click an email, it restarts the counter.. its quite strange!

Pfft only 7 messages in the spam folder.  Freakin lightweight.

And don't lie, we know that you are going to that mommy meet up to hit on them.
