Blue Screen of Death
« on: February 06, 2008, 07:16:58 PM »
Im running Windows XP Pro, and about two weeks ago I got a blue screen from Windows saying my computer was being shut down to prevent any hardware damage.

I have the STOP + memory address (its all I copied down), anyway to determine what it is by looking at the code? I saw a list on one website but mine wasnt there.

Any suggestions? Upgrade drivers? Run diagnostics tests on ram/hard drive?

Thanks

Google the error data.  Or search MS for it.  My guess is failing memory.

Wasn't able to post yesterday since I ran it overnight. I ran Memtest for 12 hours, 25 passes, no errors.

I am lost as to what to try next.
