Just traded in a bunch of old games and got some trade-in credit to use. Will probably pick this up along with a Wii console within the next month or so. Haven't played Tiger Woods since their 2007 version.

Already own a 360 and PS3. I mainly use the 360 for Xbox live multiplayer action and the PS3 for their exclusive single player games plus bluray movies. Looking to pick up the Wii for casual party games.

This game can be exhilarating as heck sometimes.  I started the 4th round of "EA Sports Major Tournament" 4 strokes up, but I made the mistake of just playing cautiously, and Tiger kept shrinking my lead.  By the 15th, he was ahead by a stroke.  I ended up doing exactly what I needed to do (birdieing 3 of the last four) to finish at -30 and beat him by a stroke.

Also the rubberband AI in this game sucks.  People that haven't shot under par all weekend seem to  shoot 59 or 62 or something ridiculous on the last couple rounds to get back in the hunt.  I shot a 61 61 65 65, which would be enough to run away with it in any real tourney, but there were tons of people right behind me.  It was also retarded thaton the long par 4 at Oakmont (15?), there was an 18 mph wind in my face, and it listed 2 people as acing the hole, which is like 450 yards.  Come on, EA.

On Woods 07, I noticed the trick was to play par the first round, just under par the second round, then play really well the third and fourth rounds; you're too far ahead for them to catch you after the third round usually.

I'm still having a hard time with the Wii Motion Plus. If I enable all the helper stuff I can do double eagles, eagles and hole in ones pretty frequently. I use that to help me get back into it if I had a really bad hole, then I flip back to advanced swing.

Cheater! :P

I just moved up to Tour Pro today.  Shot a -6 on a random course and then beat a challenge.  It's a lot more rewarding when you sink a long putt without a guide.

What a fantastic game. The whole swinging mechanics gets you more into the game than flicking the analog stick on the 360. Gotta wait for my rechargeable batteries to come before I log in more hours with my new Wii.
