Instantaneous battery failure
« on: February 16, 2008, 02:07:33 PM »
Wow. I was working on my laptop this morning and all the sudden the battery has decided to died. It started blinking orange at me and now seems not to want to charge. It's a Dell D820. When I took the battery out, the lights stay on constantly. When I press the button, they blink every other light. So I think it's done for. Thankfully I can still run on AC though. But I'll be doing a full backup this evening just in case.
My boss and I have the same laptops and his battery went out a month or so again.

The bonus is now I can upgrade to the 9-cell vs the 6-cell I had. Get a little bit more battery time now.

They look better than the new Taylor ones (slightly). I'll have to play one, but I think for the money I'd still go with a real Les Paul or PRS.
