I have IE7. How do I autoupdate to 9?

it won't run on XP.  IE 8 is your best option, so use chrome

I downloaded IE9 this morning on my Windows7 machine.  It seems pretty good from the 10 minutes I played with it.  I didn't have any performance issues out of the box, it seem'd pretty snappy like the first time I used Chrome.  Ajax heavy sites, like facebook, were quick and responsive and it has a full "developer tools" suite, like chrome.

I'm still probably going to use Chrome 95% of the time, but I'm not going to go out of my way to discourage people from using IE like I have in the past.

Yet to see if its buggy interpreting/rendering CSS per the IE tradition.
(and at work, we don't have any PC's running anything higher than XP so we can't test. LOL.)

If IE9 doesn't inherit the css issues of the past i will be completely amazed.

I tried Chrome on my work laptop, but it would constantly fail to load pages and I'd have to hit reload. I'd also lose connection with my router pretty often. I wasn't sure if those things were related to Chrome, but I started using Firefox again and the problems went away immediately, so... I'm sticking with Firefox for now.

At work Chrome has serious download issues.  I have to stay with FF for work.

I'm still using FF as my main, but I switch over to chrome from time to time.

FWIW, I alternate between chrome and FF pretty frequently depending on my mood. I don't find too much of a difference, although I do miss the chrome speed dial sometimes when I'm in FF. I'm also very surprised that the website that we finished a while ago actually works in IE9.

FF has a speeddial addon that i have used for years (well since opera had a speddial and i changed over) but it is not intuitive like chrome
