Topic: Google map zoom

Anyone know how to set the default zoom when using the API? I want it to show the entire US until i click to zoom in...but i cant find documentation explaining how to accomplish it. If i had to guess i would think the line below must be the determination, but theres nowhere to set it...

Sorry, never played with that portion of the maps.  I just accepted whatever zoom level they set.

Yea same here. I'm fairly certain i saw a how to once before, but the documentation on this api is so redundent and burried it makes me sick

map.setCenter(point, zoom?)takes a zoom level as an optional argument

you can also adjust the zoom level without centering the map on a point by calling

zoom argument is a integer value

map.zoomUp(); map.zoomDown() increment the zoom level up and down by one respectively
