Suggestions?

Like most of you I have built up a large collection of MP3s and would like to be able to access them in different rooms of my house without carting around the laptop.

There are hifi systems that will do this on a client/server basis but they seem rather pricey.

Any suggestions that I can look at?

Airplay. (I only say this because I spent most of Tuesday night listening to someone talk about how awesome it is)

I have a 1TB network drive. My computers all auto sync to it, and all my music players are set to play from it so no matter where I am in the house or on what comp I have music.

Other than that there's always wireless speakers.

I have no clue what airplay is and since I'm not on my laptop I can't look

Yeah, I've had that running, but I kind of want to use it in the kitchen and my bedroom where I don't have a computer...

Airplay looks interesting...

Airplay stuff I saw still looks overpriced...

Prices of between £500 - £700. I could buy a decent multimedia desktop for each room and save money on that!

Oh yes. He also did mention the iPod dock he was looking at for his bedroom was around $600.
