and here is something similar but from 2005. I remember more songs from 99 than 05 - and I think that is a good thing, because 05 must have sucked if those are the top tracks.

05 was pretty weak for music. Honestly anything past 1997 (I'll even concede to 99) has been....meh overall. Gimme the 70's and 80's any day

So it's your position that no good music came from the 70's or 80's?? Can't possibly be man. ACDC, Def, Zepplin, GNR, Black Sabbath, Poison, Metallica, Dio man I could go on all day with music from that time.

I can't think of anything but folksy shit when I think of the 70s.  Pink Floyd comes to mind when I think of that era.  And I fucking hate everyone of their songs except for one.

Out of the bands you listed, the only one I truly give any fucks about is Metallica and they've been in the shitter for years.  ACDC is ok, don't love them.  Def and Zepplin are meh.  I could do without Black Sabbath and Poison and fuck Dio.

I think a lot of cool stuff has come out in the past decade alone.  But it's obviously your personal taste.

Dude Metallica last decent album was Reload and THAT is debateable, so yea fuck their new shit I'm talking old. I didn't throw up a lot of names but a few more major ones: Clapton, Springsteen, Frampton. Dio only has one I like. Lets not forget Duran Duran. Sabbath led to Ozzy which is the shit, and Poison is great. Def is meh for most people. Gensis for sure.

That said, you give Zepplin a MEH?? That is like saying Hendrix was a shitty guitar player.

It's my personal tastes.  What do you want from me?  We don't like the same shit and you're upset by it.  Falls in line with your republican viewpoints.

All eras have had good music and music that is pure crap (and sometimes from the same band).

Dude Metallica last decent album was Reload and THAT is debateable

I'm not upset by it all, I'm in disbelief is all.

S&M is hands down my favorite Metallica album. I thought it was prior to Reload (Reload was actually the first CD I ever bought) for some reason though. My dad must have bought that later and my memory is just shit.

Just spent the last hour or so listening to rock from the late 60s and 70s.  Unfortunately got sent to a horrible horrible HORRIBLE cover of War Pigs by Cat Powers and had to rinse my ears out with quality Sabbath.  Even hit on some power ballads.
