Title: NBA 2019
Post by: Jake on May 20, 2019, 10:22:00 PM
Anyone watching the playoffs? many of the series was very exciting, up to the conference finals (thus far). I really thought that if blazers get to the CFs they will beat the warriors - but I was wrong - warriors are blowing them out, and their best player isn't even playing!!

I really like Kawhi and the Raptors, but the bucks are hungrier - they wanted more and Gianis has a real good supporting cast. Even though raptors one yesterday, I think bucks take the series.

Unfortunately for this thread, professional basketball is my least favorite professional sport to follow (of the major real sports). Incedently though, I don't mind college basketball, but I don't follow it close either. Its one of the few sports where I prefer college level over pro. Well, that and women's soccer. LOL

I don't have time to watch much, and while everybody around me is a Warriors fan I don't care that much for or against them so, meh. I'll probably watch any game 7s and some of the finals, especially if that gets close.

I've only been following on ESPN and watching highlights.  No real time to watch the actual games.  Fuck the Warriors but they'll always have a chance, unfortunately.  I think the Raptors are strong but not strong enough to take out the Bucks.

Prediction: Finals will be Warriors vs. Bucks and Warriors will win in 6

I've been watching the raptors' games. If they would have taken game 1 they would have had a real shot at the series. They lead the whole game by 10 pts but blew it in the last 5 minutes :(

Game 7 against the sixers was crazy. I'm not a huge NBA fan but that was one of the most exciting professional sports games I've ever seen, right down to Kawhi's buzzer beater that bounced 4 times on the rim before dropping to break the tie and win the game!

I hope Toronto takes it all!

Not likely.  They are pretty big underdogs.  I'd love to see it happen though.

Great game last night! I expect the warriors to come back stronger in game #2, but the raps have been great at home. Should be a good game Sunday :)

Yah, it was pretty great. They had to win this one, and have to win the next asking to have a chance. I think this will go to 7 games ..unless Durant doesn't come back, then maybe 6.

heartbreaker last night... Raps controlled the first half but fell apart in the 3rd. They came back in the 4th but were too far down to make a difference. It's gonna be hard going to GS for the next two games.

When Cousins is on the floor I'm rooting for him and when he's not I'm rooting for the Raptors...

When Cousins is on the floor I'm happy about all the fouls he's about to commit :D

Very happy right now!!

Injuries are part of the game, but if Clay kept on playing it would go to 7 for sure

Yeah, you never want to win that way, but hey... like you said, injuries are part of the game. Lowry played the whole series with his thumb in a splint and will likely need surgery, Kawhi had some kind of leg thing, Looney was playing with an upper body injury. You go that far it's gonna take a toll on your body.

What an exciting game though, within a point pretty much the entire game. Came down to 110-111 in the dying seconds. Huge for the raptors! I hope Kawhi stays!!
