He'll have a good seaon because he's still Roger Clemens, but I can't in good conscience pick him up.  I mean, announcing he's coming to the Yankees in the middle of a game from the owner's box?  That's some "look at me!" bullshit there.

I don't like Roger Clemens for other reasons.

And no, I'm not going to pick him up... well, maybe I will. I'm in last place and my top two pitchers have been on the DL for a month.

Edit: Clemens was taken in the middle of our 25 round draft. I guess it's good that I don't have to feel icky picking him up, but really it just makes me sad that I'm in a league with so many teams and players. This is going to be a long season.

Even though my team probably sucks. At least I can use injuries as an excuse. The first three players I drafted were Ryan Howard, Chris Carpenter, and Joe Mauer. All three are on the DL.

Then there's Jason Schmidt, Shawn Hill, and Akinori Iwamura on the DL as well.  :D :suicide:

My girlfriend's only producing pitcher was Roy Halladay, but her DL is too full of Jim Thome and Ryan Howard to put him there.  She's going to have to release one of them.

We're only allowed 10 moves all season (actually 10 moves until August - no moves in September). I've used up 6 already. Carpenter and Schmidt are on the DL, but Mauer just sits in my starting lineup and the rest take up bench space. :dunno:

That's a fucking stupid rule.  I barely do any moves other than roster changes, but I've still made 5 moves.  Half the players in my league are already over 10 moves; one guy's got 29 (which seems excessive, but whatever)

Yeah.. we had a new guy take over commisionership duties, and he implemented a few more "advanced" rules. I understand having a limit, especially in basketball, but 10 was probably way too small.

In a basketball league with my co-workers, there was no limit, so a few of them would change players every day depending on who was playing that day. They were a little too into it.

That wouldn't really work the way most fantasy bb leagues are set up - your guys would get onto the waiver wire and suddenly you'd have a rotating team.  I guess that might work if you're more concerned with having a lot of people playing every day than having a lot of good people playing most of the time.

In my money league we have to pay $.50 per move - I haven't made any yet but after the shellacking I took last week (fuck you CC Sabathia, seriously), I'll probably do that

Shawn Hill?  He's not on the DL.  He's been in my pitching rotation for a few weeks now.

And yeah, there's a few in my league with 30+ moves.

Haha, jesus.  My girlfriend almost picked him up as a replacement for Halladay, too.

Any thoughts on Braden Looper?  Can he continue overperforming for the rest of the year or what?
