RoD Gettin Fat
« on: November 18, 2009, 11:08:10 AM »
In the past few months i have lost almost 20 pounds, completely unintentional. I haven't changed my diet, and i still eat fast food like a feind. Maybe i have a tapeworm (ewwww). So now im working on putting weight back on. For breakfast this morning i had a 16oz shake (that whey shit with milk), oatmeal (two packets), two oranges, and half a dozen hard boiled eggs.

I feel like a damn stick figure.

shouldn't you maybe like go see a doctor or something?  unexplained weightless (over 5% of your total weight) could be a sign of any number of underlying problems.  Gastrointestinal diseases, diabetes, cancer and HIV to name a few.

So what are you doing to make sure that your suddenly massive breakfast is not turning straight into fat?  Your job is obviously pretty physically intense (when you're not staking hookers or possibly maids), but I'd personally be concerned that by just upping your calories massively without changing your exertion, you're going to look like.... well... me.

OK, but don't eat so much.  Find a BMR calculator online and eat slightly above that, or else your body is going to freak out that it's getting so much extra food and store it as fat

I've always used the one on fitday - there are a lot of them out there and they're pretty similar.  They almost all tend to overestimate how many calories you burn if they have "activity levels" so just put it in as if you are sedentary or low activity, even though it's obviously not true.
