I hate integration
« on: April 12, 2006, 04:52:22 PM »
Just a small rant of the latest project I'm working on.
We're doing a project for another company and trying to hook into their backend system. It's frustrating me because I don't have full access to the system and stuff isn't working smoothly. The thing I hate about integrating with other companies is that I have to rely on them to get their system working. It always seems to be that they blame the software but it's so hard to troubleshoot when you don't have access. They say nothing has changed and we say nothing has changed but it doesn't work anymore. Something is different. Anyways, that's enough ranting for now. Time to get back to it.

I can't wait to go swimming tonight and take my mind off this whole thing.

Yeah. Open architecture - wonderful in theory, but the practice is a bitch.
