For the first time in around a year ive gone over my net usage for the month, hence reducing my speed to that of a 28.8k modem untill November...so if i dont post much from now then its cause i got sick of waiting for ES to load and closed it

The last time I had dial up, the service was "unlimited". Then it cut me off after 150 hours, I called up and was ready to raise hell, but they just said "oh yeah, that happens. I'll just change your username, wait about ten minutes, and you should be good to go." Come to think of it, their customer service kicked ass in general.

I think Chris is on broadband, but he got bumped to a slow speed because he went over his limits.

I've got a 15GB limit - that includes surfing too, not just downloads. I've gone over a couple of times, usually the day (or day before) the limit gets renewed (it does monthly).

Farticus is lucky at least he gets a working connection if he goes over, I get fuck all (DHCP works but no "actual" usage :()

I have a 2 gb limit a day if i'm wired and a 750 mb one wireless, but it's monitored and averaged over a 5 day period so you can have a spike and still be okay.  After you go over you get a notification, then a warning, and then a second warning, and after that your account gets suspended for 45 days.

I have a combined upload/download limit of 60GB per month, and is the same as ahluka's, it includes normal internet surfing towards d/ls.

I have to sign up to check my status, but I havent gotten around to it, I dont d/l that much, so Im not worrie about going over the limit.

Yeah, that's a whole lot of pron. :devil:  I was playing around with various linux flavors a few months back and snagging a lot of ISO images.  That was about the only time I thought about hitting any limits, but comcast didn't seem to mind. But throttling you down from broadband to 28.8K? That's like taking away the Mustang and giving you a Schwinn beach cruiser.
