This morning I woke up VERY hung over, got a phone call, after which I kind of tossed my mobile phone onto the floor next to my bed (as usual) and it landed in a big cup of water I had placed there the night before!! I heard the 'gulp' noise and looked down to see my phone in this cup with bubbled rising from it and just yelled "FUUUUCCKK!!!!".

My phone has gone to heaven and Im too cheap to buy a new one

Ask knuck, I just did what he said...wel not really.  I took it apart (batt, SIM etc) and left it out for a couple weeks.  Worked again.

I've done that exact same thing before. I just turned it off and left it on the radiator for the day then turned it back on and it worked fine.

I took it apart as soon as it happened and left it out to dry for most of the day...tried it today and its at 90% of normal
