Wow, totally different reaction than I had.  I thought some of the humor was just piss poor.  And they built too much of a love story into it.  Not one of Ferrel's best movies IMO.

I always knew you were a smart person ;)

I loved those three movies. I went to see all of them with my friend Doug, now he's got them all in DVD. As soon as he finishes his basement he'll get a projector... so looking forward to it!

BTW, didn't you just love the street fight?

anchorman - fucking waste of time (IMO).
dodgeball - not that bad, laughed a few times.
shaun of the dead - really good.  need to get the dvd.

I rented this this weekend, and I gotta say I was pretty disappointed.  I'm not a huge Ferrell fan to begin with, and this didn't help that at all.

Some of the jokes were pretty funny, but I hate it when comedians think they're funnier the louder they get.  Farrell's like this, and Chris Farley was the same way. (that's right, I hated Chrs Farley)

Dodgeball was f-in hilarious, though.

See... I agree with you for the most part (I liked portions of Anchorman, but most of it was lost on me.)  However, I have watched it again recently and it's funnier the second time around.  I also liked Chris Farley a lot.

It's probably funnier the second time (or especially in a group, but I was watching it alone).  Unless I'm with a bunch of people who want to watch it, I probably won't watch it again, though.

Also Chris Farley was fat and unfunny.

I liked Anchorman, but it might've also been because I was with a group that happened to love him also.  Will Ferrell's been growing on me though.

I didn't like Chris Farley so much.

i don't know if chris farley himself was funny but the movies he was in were. will ferrell's different though... he's very distinctive from movie to movie.

actually that's a very bad analogy now that i think of it

What movie has he not played "Tall goofy loud guy"?

Black Sheep and Tommy Boy are the 2 funniest movies ever made in the
entire history of film.

I see SOMEBODY has never seen Malibu's Most Wanted.
