I just got this Canon  scanner. I have an ancient hp that connects through a parallel port, and works when it wants to - I needed some more power and reliability :D

I've read a few reviews and the 4200F was favored for the price. Its a bit slow, and a bit load, but the resolution is fantastic and it does film. I just scanned in the pic below :)

thanks :) I also made a color version of it. It doesn't look exactly the same but I did it a week later. BTW, this is from a series of photos i took about 4 years ago with my 35mm SLR.
