Old thread.
Just watched this last night with some friends and could barely breathe because it was so outrageously funny. The choice of puppets is suberb for someone of my generation who have fond memories of G & S Anderson's 'supermarionation' - the characterisations are wonderful and the some of the visual humour is made all the more marvellous because of it.
It's fairly balanced in that right, left and centre (within the narrow context of US politics) are mercilessly lampooned. It does go through a dullish phase, once you get used to the style but it still manages to produce some belly laughs with, among other things, its own peculiar homages to other films.
The 'love scene' just has to be the best in any movie ever.
10/10 - if you haven't seen this yet, you should.
