Title: Formatting
Post by: Canuck on February 21, 2007, 09:28:20 PM
Hey,

Someone is going to be giving me a computer to format, and I am told that it has XP on it, but its not working.. so I was told to format it.  Assuming they do have XP on it, and the computer doesnt boot up (assuming there isnt a hardware problem), is there any way to get the serial key from the system?

Thanks

Not that I'm aware of... if they bought it from a half-decent computer store, the serial should be on the outside of the case somewhere.
