Fines for people who cash traffic accidents during rush hour

So today I was 30 minutes late to work because an accident snarled up traffic enough that I missed the train I was trying to catch and I arrived at the station right as the next train was leaving.

I propose that we fine those who cause an accident through neglect (and/or stupidity) that causes a significant amount of traffic to backup.  Given the amount of people affected, additional pollution created, personal and business revenue lost I think it would only be fair.

Starting fine would be getting smacked over the back of the head by every driver that you delayed.

don't they normally get a ticket w/ fine anyway?

When I was in that fender bender a couple months ago the other guy got a ticket for improper lane change.  I'm sure that included a fine.

I always think that...then it crosses my mind that the person involved in the accident up ahead is possibly dead...then I calm down a bit.

except in DD cases almost all tickets from accidnets are dismissed or downgraded to a no-fine situation.

Unfortuantly I don't have much empathy for people I don't know, mainly because I dislike the majority of people.

Oh and then to top it off you have jackasses that will jump into the merge lane just to try to get around a few cars.

YES. They  fly down the right lane too at like 50mph and then yell and honk at me when they have to slam on their brakes because i wont let them cut me off. fucking people

Damn pedestrians mess up my car every time I drive along the sidewalk. If they aren't covering my car with enough blood to gunk up my windscreen wipers then their useless bodies are smashing my headlights and denting my wing...so inconsiderate!
