I spent the last 2 days walking a combined ~10 miles down 8 mile in downtown Detroit with the wind and snow and rain.  Woo.

8 Mile isn't in downtown Detroit.

That's a good point.  I spent Sunday and Monday on the fringes of Detroit.

yes, made it back in one piece rob, despite getting sick from eating a dodgy english breakfast at some crappy cafe my girlfriend suggested.  threw up from victoria coach station all the way through to heathrow.  fun times.  trip was good, very exhausting and a bit too much fucking around (and not enough fucking around in a literal sense, i don't know how anyone breeds in the UK it's too bloody cold).  kissed the blarney.  saw a bit of dublin and a lot of stab city (limerick).  got some good snaps, didn't have too many fights with gf and travel, aside from 18 hour layover during the fogs (we were put up by a very nice, possibly mob-connected couple who own a rather sizeable cottage in harlow) the frights were pretty smooth.  back over in july, tickets booked, plan to get over to portgual for about 10 days.  will be in london around the 14th and again on the 27th.  hoping we can organise a meeting, time permitting.
