Heard about that on the news this morning... pretty crazy.  I figure someone on the inside had to be in on it.

I've been inside one of those cash centres - the physical amount of cash is staggering.

And how recently were you inside one of those cash centres? Which one was it? And where exactly were you when the robbery was taking place? Presumably the truck was used to avoid 'staggering' around under the weight of so much loot?
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?.

Easy. Ocean's Twelve.

How do you that much money without anyone noticing? Or saying something about it? That seems insane to me.

It's a decent sized truckful. Thing about it is, £25M is brand new Bank of England cash. They haven't got a cat in hells chance of laundering that any time this decade.

According to our friendly BBC1 new reporter it's been made at £53m if I didn't hear him wrong. Woot for them.

Me and my flatmate where debaiting how much the money would weigh...we assumed a £50 note weights 1g and it was all made up of £50's...that means the whole load comes in at 1 tonne!! How scary is that (if you know what one tonne of sand looks like). Any idea if we're close Rob? What about the bulk issue..how much money could you fit in a 7.5t lorry!

Oh, and sorry if this thread ends up red flagged by scotland yard!!

I'd say it's more likely to be 20s and 10s, so that would be nearer 2-3 tonnes.

IIRC 1 cubic metre is somewhere around 3-4 million (not entirely sure about that)
