Getting back on the horse
« on: June 25, 2008, 09:34:22 PM »
Well I finally got fed up with being a gut lord, and decided to do something about it.

Monday I got up at 5am and went for a half hour run, Tuesday I ran home from work and yesterday got up at 5am again, went for a run for an hour and then walked to work.  Had a massive sleep last night and will have today off, but will do another 5am start tomorrow.  The 5am starts aren't too bad, but it's the middle of winter at the moment, so it's about 4-5C.  Still, it's nice running around empty streets.  My aerobic capacity is getting back to speed pretty quickly, I'm surprised considering I really haven't done much exercise this year.

Anyhow, to keep me honest I've signed up for the Bridge to Brisbane 5km run in September (http://www.bridgetobrisbane.com.au/).

Should be a good motivator.
